1. It is a full-blown workout. This is not the sit quietly on the floor with your legs crossed kind of story-time. This is singing at the top of your lungs with hand motions, rolling, bouncing, hopping, rocking in a pretend boat and driving a pretend car. When it's over, we are all ready for naptime.
OMG re #8; that is so true of children's songs. When my stepson was little, we rented videos of something called "The Get-Along Gang," whose theme song was such an earworm that after hearing it for just one weekend YEARS ago, I can still sing the whole thing.
I'm nervous about kindergarten storyline coming up!😬 Even with some experience, or because of some experience, I know that with kids, you just never quite know how it will go! That makes it fun, but also a bit scary!
